I remember this shot very well. This was early in my “taking shots through glass” stages. I remember having a particularly tough time with the sun’s glare, the other zoo visitors and their respective reflections (& again, no CPL filter). I added a vignette to accentuate the existing shadow…

This was taken inside the indoor reptile house of the “Amazon & Beyond” section of the zoo. The basilisk was basking in the heat lamp when he turned as soon as I got my camera in position. I’m quickly learning that although positioning & patience is KEY in photography, a little luck doesn’t hurt! Slowly my comfort level with shooting through glass is increasing…
